Drawing on Precision

ADC take pride in producing highly-accurate architectural drawings that aid building design and construction.

The process begins with a full survey of the building or site. Using specialist AutoCAD drawing software our team create 1:100 existing and proposed drawings on A3, as well as 1:500 block plans and 1:1250 location plans on A4.

These drawings are then submitted with the planning application form and Design and Access Statement. For listed buildings and conservation areas we provide heritage statements. And, when required, Lifetime Homes diagrams are provided.

Once planning permission has been granted, building regulation drawings are prepared in 1:50 scale. Using notes and annotations, these specify:

• Masonry/timber/steel frame construction details
• Ventilation
• Thermal and acoustic insulation
• Moisture resistance
• Joinery details

When highly-detailed drawings are required, ADC can provide them. Our building regulations specifications cover Parts A-P.
